Today's extension will teach you to do a magic trick that will amaze your friends. If you have not seen the trick, watch the video so that you will have an idea how it looks and what it does.

The first step is understanding how the "answer" is created.
The answer is always what ever number they give you plus1998.

If they give you 897, then you put a 2 on the front (2000) and minus two off the back. (2000 - 2 = 1998).

Ok now what if you can't get 2 off of the back? 321 becomes 2319

Step 2 is making the 999's. When you are given a number, you just make each digit into a 9 with your number. 456 + 543 = 999

Step 1 - You ask me to give you any number. I say 375.
What will the magic answer be?

Now you've written the answer on a slip of paper and had me put it in my pocket. It is time for me to give you another number.
I say 419.
You write 419 then choose to write _______

One more round. Someone else is asked to give you a number and they said 691.
You write 691 and then your number is _______.

Now you make them add up the numbers and look at the slip of paper. They'll be stunned and demand to know how you did it. You may say anything you wish, but don't give away your secret.
